


Land Acknowledgement for Scarborough
The land we have built this institution on is on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

The foundation of the Muslim’s life is Salaah (Prayer). We offer a space for the five time daily Salaah, Salaatul Jumuah (The Friday Prayer), Salaatul Taraweeh, Qiyam-ul-Layl, and more!

One of the IIT’s objectives is the transmission of authentic knowledge. Check out the variety of new and continuing courses (or an on-demand course) that we offer.

Both youth and adults have the opportunity to participate in various recreational activities at the IIT such as the IIT Ball Hockey league, the Islamic Soccer League, or even Friday Night Recreation!
