Program Support Coordinator 

Temporary:  6 months 

Hours:  20 hours a week

Position: Program Support Coordinator, Emergency Community Support



The Program Support coordinator is a funded position through United Way and will partner with various organizations in the GTA to provide community services, cultivate relationships with businesses, individuals and other relevant organizations.  The position will provide community outreach and engagements to vulnerable population – seniors needing mental health and physical support and individuals with visible or hidden disabilities and manage the administrative activities of the program. 




  • Identify and assess community needs and partner with service providers to address and access available resources (mental health, PSW, online education, counselling, food etc.)
  • Document, track, and report all expenditures/transactions while keeping within established budget
  • Prepare and submit reports to funder as required. 
  • Deliver groceries, meals and other items on a weekly basis
  • Provide regular updates & support to the Committee on program status
  • Connecting people in the community by creating relationship with business, vendors, individuals and other relevant organization
  • Participate in advocacy of the program
  • Coordinate virtual events/webinar and outreach activities
  • Other duties as assigned



  • College/High school graduate
  • Experience working directly with people
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Able to multi-task, able to independently plan projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Cultural sensitivity awareness
  • Ability to work with vulnerable populations and build rapport
  • Ability to flex communication style to multiple cultural environments
  • Good written and verbal communication skills 
  • Media and tech savvy
  • Valid driver license with access to vehicle
