Introduction

Assalamu Alaikum,

The IIT Scouts Group provides an exciting program for youth between ages 5 to 17, with a variety of indoor and outdoor games, skill-building activities and other fun events. Scouting aims to foster Social, Physical, Intellectual, Character, Emotional and Spiritual development of youth through a non-formal, hands-on approach to learning.

Our Scouts represented Canada at the largest youth event of the world, the “World Scouts Jamboree” in West Virginia USA, this summer. They also represented Canada as Model United Nations (MUN) delegates.

Since 2007, the IIT Scouts group has produced many youth who have been recognized by the “Chief Scout Award”, the “Queens Venturer Award” and the “Duke of Edinburgh International Award”.

Scouting helps young people learn about and respect the environment, their communities and their world.

We started our 13th year of scouting in September 2019 with a hike at the Rouge National Urban Park and have many exciting activities planned for the rest of the year including Camping Trips, Community Service Projects, Rock Climbing, Archery, First Aid Training and various games.

Please contact IIT Scouts Group at 163rdIITScouts@gmail.com for registration details.

Jazak Allaku Khairan.
