A video online shows a man entering a mosque in Mississauga last year and unleashing bear spray before pulling out an axe on unsuspecting worshippers who had their backs turned.
The footage has been viewed nearly half a million times in just 12 hours with many sharing their disgust and horror at the one minute and thirty second footage captured on March 19, 2022 at the Dar Al-Tawheed Islamic Centre.
“This is the moment the attacker came into Masjid Dar Al-Tawheed hoping to hurt worshippers who had their backs turned to him,” Mississauga Imam Ibrahim Hindy tweeted on Monday.
