Introduction to Quran Recitation

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The Quran was revealed to be recited beautifully — with precision, reverence, and care. In this foundational course, Qari Salem Jahedar introduces students to the essential rules of Tajweed from the ground up: the articulation points (makhaarij) of Arabic letters, characteristics of letters, rules of noon saakin and tanween, rules of meem saakin, rules of madd (elongation), and stopping and starting. No prior experience with Arabic or Tajweed is required.

Family Matters

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The family is the foundation of civilization — and Islam has a detailed and beautiful vision for it. This course explores what Islam says about the family from multiple angles: the purpose and nature of Islamic marriage, rights and responsibilities of spouses, parenting in the Islamic tradition, family roles and dynamics, and the distinct rulings and practices that define a God-conscious household. Drawing on Qur’anic verses, hadith, and classical fiqh, students will gain clarity and confidence in navigating family life according to Islamic principles. Open to married and unmarried students alike.

Meaningful Prayer and its Jurisprudence

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This course blends Islamic legal rulings with the heart of worship. Shaykh Abdool Hamid walks students through all aspects of Salah, including its pillars, conditions, and Sunnah elements. Common mistakes and valid differences between madhāhib are clarified. Alongside the fiqh, the inner meanings of prayer are emphasized—like khushū‘, focus, and sincerity. The goal is correct performance and heartfelt connection. Suitable for both beginners and those reviewing their practice. Q&A sessions will support interactive learning.

Ijaazah in Forty Hadith – Reading & Sharh

7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This structured reading and study course covers all 42 hadiths compiled by Imam al-Nawawi. Each session includes Arabic recitation, commentary, and discussion of key themes. Shaykh Musleh explains linguistic meanings, context, and practical relevance. Students are encouraged to memorize and reflect on the narrations. A short assessment will be given to those seeking formal Ijāzah. The course is ideal for serious learners of all backgrounds. Open to both men and women.

Practice of Tajweed

6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Knowing the rules of Tajweed is one thing — reciting with them is another. This practical course is designed for students who have foundational Tajweed knowledge and are ready to move into active, applied recitation practice. Each session focuses on recitation, correction, and refinement: students will read aloud, receive real-time feedback from Qari Salem, and work systematically through passages of the Quran. This course is the ideal companion to the Monday Introduction to Tajweed course, and is also open to any student with foundational Tajweed knowledge.

School of the Prophet ﷺ

12:30 pm – 1:30 pm

Within just twenty-three years, the Prophet ﷺ transformed ordinary people — merchants and shepherds, slaves and nobles, youth and elders — into extraordinary individuals whose hearts were filled with faith and whose lives radiated integrity, courage, and compassion. In this course, we explore the Prophetic school of tarbiyah: how the Messenger of Allah ﷺ nurtured hearts, refined character, corrected mistakes with compassion, empowered individuals with responsibility, and built a community grounded in faith, justice, and brotherhood. Drawing on the Qur’an, authentic hadith, classical works of seerah, and insights from contemporary studies of leadership, each session uncovers timeless lessons from the Prophet’s mentorship of men, women, youth, new believers, and a diverse community. Designed for parents, teachers, community leaders, and students of Seerah.
