We are excited to announce that we have again received a Federal grant through the New Horizons Program to fund our HELLO (Helping Elders Live Life Optimally) Program for Seniors.  This funding aims to support interest-based programming for our Seniors and to raise awareness regarding issues of Elder Abuse.

Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities (will include but not limited to the following):

  • Plan, coordinate, collaborate, implement/facilitate, and evaluate H.E.L.L.O. Program activities and initiatives.
  • Meet program goals and fulfill grant expectations and deliverables.
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility and integrity. Ensure program is delivered on time and within budget. Submit an of project financial report by program deadlines.
  • Conduct outreach to community leaders and subject matter professionals to build and deliver Senior lead and Senior focused programming for both hearing and Deaf seniors.
  • Assist with designing promotional materials and program evaluations for both Hearing and Deaf Seniors. Communicate with key stakeholders and IIT Board.
  • Adhere to customer service standards that reflects the IIT commitment to its Seniors, other community members and the general public.
  • Prepare and present updates to IIT board as directed.
  • Write and submit final program evaluation and financial report to IIT board by set deadlines.

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess the following knowledge, skills and judgement.

  • Previous and relevant experience working with Seniors
  • Experience with event planning, execution and evaluation
  • Experience collaborating with stakeholders and community outreach
  • Program planning and implementation
  • Program facilitation
  • Excellent communication style with a capability to communicate at all levels (internal and external partners); along with a good level of articulation in written and verbal communication
  • Advance level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other around-the-office software with the ability to prepare presentations and advertisements
  • Demonstrated organization, time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Knowledge of budgeting and managing and reconciliation of funds.
  • Excellent planning and problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with using Online conferencing applications
