We are excited to announce that we have again received a Federal grant through the New Horizons Program to fund our HELLO (Helping Elders Live Life Optimally) Program for Seniors. This funding aims to support interest-based programming for our Seniors and to raise awareness regarding issues of Elder Abuse.
Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities (will include but not limited to the following):
- Plan, coordinate, collaborate, implement/facilitate, and evaluate H.E.L.L.O. Program activities and initiatives.
- Meet program goals and fulfill grant expectations and deliverables.
- Maintain fiscal responsibility and integrity. Ensure program is delivered on time and within budget. Submit an of project financial report by program deadlines.
- Conduct outreach to community leaders and subject matter professionals to build and deliver Senior lead and Senior focused programming for both hearing and Deaf seniors.
- Assist with designing promotional materials and program evaluations for both Hearing and Deaf Seniors. Communicate with key stakeholders and IIT Board.
- Adhere to customer service standards that reflects the IIT commitment to its Seniors, other community members and the general public.
- Prepare and present updates to IIT board as directed.
- Write and submit final program evaluation and financial report to IIT board by set deadlines.
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess the following knowledge, skills and judgement.
- Previous and relevant experience working with Seniors
- Experience with event planning, execution and evaluation
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders and community outreach
- Program planning and implementation
- Program facilitation
- Excellent communication style with a capability to communicate at all levels (internal and external partners); along with a good level of articulation in written and verbal communication
- Advance level of proficiency in Microsoft Office and other around-the-office software with the ability to prepare presentations and advertisements
- Demonstrated organization, time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Knowledge of budgeting and managing and reconciliation of funds.
- Excellent planning and problem solving skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with using Online conferencing applications
