IIT joins with the Muslim community to mourn the passing of one of North America’s creative minds – Br. Yahya John Emerick, author, educator and a passionate advocate for youth and children education.
If you visit any Islamic school or bookstore, you will find some of his 50 books on Islam and Muslims.
Yahya accepted Islam at the age of 19 while still a university student. He would spend the next 36 years of his life dedicated to writing books and teaching about Islam in a manner that appealed to American Muslims. His book “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Understanding Islam” has been widely distributed. In the past few years he has been working on several projects for children’s books, including the Colouring Qur’an for Children.
May Allah bless his efforts and grant him Jannah.
May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, illuminate and expand his grave and grant him repose in Jannat-ul-Firdaus. May Allah SWT grant peace and comfort to hisfamily and loved ones during this time of profound bereavement.
