The Canadian Council of Imams (CCI) is pleased to announce the appointment of Imam Sikander Hashmi as its first-ever Executive Director. Imam Sikander will officially assume his role on January 1, 2025, in shaa Allah, marking a historic milestone for CCI.
Over the past several months, a dedicated hiring committee, composed of distinguished members of the CCI Board of Directors and other professionals, conducted a comprehensive and rigorous search for the ideal candidate. After an extensive process, Imam Sikander emerged as the unanimous choice for this transformative role.
Imam Sikander brings a wealth of experience to the position. As an accomplished Imam, community leader, fundraiser, writer, teacher, and marketing professional, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a deep commitment to serving the Muslim community in Canada. His unique blend of skills, wisdom, and dedication positions him to lead the CCI into an exciting new chapter of impactful growth.
