What an incredible day it was! With beautiful sunshine and beautiful smiles from the thousands of worshippers, IIT’s Eid Prayer was unprecedented. We reflected on the importance of this day, especially at a time when there is so much suffering in the world and the need to keep standing up for justice as Prophet Ibrahim did. We applauded those who fearlessly stand up against oppression and genocide, including the thousands of university students across the globe. Finally, the message from our Khateeb Shaikh Abdool Hamid was aptly summed up in the phrase “Be the change you want to see” as this was exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim and his family, and the beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) ﷺ
