The Canadian Government has commenced the collection of population statistics (Census of Canadian Households and Agriculture). The 2026 Census of Population in Canada is mandatory for all households, required by law under the Statistics Act. Every household must complete the questionnaire by May 12, or face potential follow-ups, including in-person visits and fines of up to $500.
