On behalf of the Board of Directors, scholars, teachers, volunteers and community members of the Islamic Institute of Toronto I wish to express our deepest sorrow at the tragic loss of lives resulting from the crash of Flight PS752 in Tehran, Iran.

We acknowledge that the past few days have been traumatic for members of the Iranian community in Canada, especially in Alberta and Ontario.

We have listened to and read many stories of families whose loved ones have perished: of a couple who had recently gotten married; of a religious tour guide from Markham, Ontario; of students who were returning to Canadian universities to complete their studies – all whose lives were lost, leaving behind grieving relatives.
