It is with great sadness that we announce that Sr. Zora Moneer (Aunty Babsy) passed away peacefully on Thursday December 7th, 2023 at home in Scarborough, ON.

• She was the wife of the late Moneer Moneer (d).
• Mother of Fanieza Nasir, Sheriema Khan, Salim and the late Ashraf Moneer (d).
• Mother in law of Muneeb Nasir and Sheik Khan.
• Grandmother of Nabeel, Muaz, Umar, Tasneem, Riyad, Ridhwan, Saif and Fadil.
• Great grandmother of Talha, Zubayr, Yusra, Ziyaad and Musab.

Sr. Zora is originally from Glazier Lust, East Coast Demerara, Guyana and lived in La Jalousie, West Coast Demerara.

• Family Gathering (Wake) will be held at:
  • IIT (1630 Neilson Rd, Scarborough, ON M1X 1S3) on December 7th at 7pm (After Isha [adhaan 6:50, iqama 7:00])
• Janazaah will be held at:
  • Islamic Foundation – 441 Nugget Ave, Scarborough, ON M1S 5E1 on December 8th (after Salaatul Jumu’ah (1:00 PM)
    • Burial will take place on December 8th – Pine Ridge Memorial, following the janazah at 1757 Church St N, Ajax, ON L1T 4R3
    • Family Gathering (Post Burial) will be held on December 8th at IIT (1630 Neilson Rd, Scarborough, ON M1X 1S3)

We ask Allah to forgive her, multiply her good deeds and grant her a place in Jannatul Firdaws. We pray that Allah inspire the family with patience and strength at this time of grief.
